01) A different Jesus, a different gospel! (Galatians 1:1-9)Eric Peterman, July 28, 2019
Part of the Galatians series, taught at a Sunday Morning service
Just a few short years after Paul planted the gospel in Southern Galatia, a small band of “Judaizers” led by one particular spokesman, have swayed the newly minted Christians away from the pure saving gospel of God's grace to a perverted gospel! This group wants these Christians to also adhere to the Law of Moses, including the ceremonial aspects, as the means of justification before God. It is a, “Grace of God in Christ, plus the keeping of the Law, kind of gospel”. Paul's response is nothing short of astonished and astonishing!

1Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;) 2And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia: 3Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, 4Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: 5To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. 6I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
